Business Development Representative for San Leandro, CA and greater surrounding areas

From a customer perspective, the Business Development Representative is responsible for on-premise selling of cold drink, fountain, and vending. The focus includes acquiring new customers, filling voids, and ensuring distribution availability. They are also responsible for engaging and persuading potential customers throughout the selling process.

Responsibilities

  • Solicit and qualify new customers for the Cold Drink business.
  • Develop and execute volume-building activities with targeted accounts.
  • Implement channel-specific plans.
  • Review company asset placements based on volume and return on investment for new accounts.
  • Manage account profiles and call schedules for current and target customers.
  • Measure profitability and volume within the assigned territory.
  • Manage territory within specified budgets.
  • Develop and execute a total Business Plan for the assigned territory.
  • Build relationships with targeted accounts to maximize potential.

Requirements

  • High School/some college, 4-year degree preferred but not required.
  • 2-3 years of outside B2B sales experience.
  • At least 1 year of previous package goods, outside, or systems sales experience.
  • Personal vehicle with a clean driver's license.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and basic computer programs.
  • Excellent prospecting, presentation, and conceptual selling skills.
  • Ability to build long-term rapport with customers.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong presence and interpersonal skills.

Total Rewards

  • Salary Range: $43,000 - $70,035 per year.
  • Actual placement within the compensation range may vary based on experience and skills.
