Job Description

Sevita, a leading provider of home and community-based specialized health care, is seeking passionate Caregivers to join the Mentor Community Services team in Allegheny County, including sites in Pittsburgh such as Penn Hills, Monroeville, Verona, and Sherwood.

As a Caregiver, you’ll play a vital role in helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities live well, grow, and learn. You’ll be responsible for providing support with personal hygiene, behavioral challenges, and other complex needs, while developing meaningful relationships and assisting with developmental goals like budgeting, exercise, and nutrition, all while ensuring participants are part of the community and able to enjoy their favorite activities.

  • Experience: Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
  • Skills: Communication, adaptability, multi-tasking, teamwork, time-management.
  • Behaviors: Patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible.
  • Must currently have a valid driver’s license and have been legally authorized to drive without restriction for at least 1 year post-learner’s permit.
