Job Description

The Construction Project Director at BluSky is responsible for managing and closing new business opportunities in restoration, renovation, environmental, and roofing services following man-made or natural disasters. This role involves developing cost estimates, ensuring revenue production, and maintaining profit margins. The Project Director also oversees AR & Collections, manages near-term opportunities, and engages in business development activities. Effective communication with internal teams and superb customer satisfaction are key responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Sales: Meet or exceed monthly and yearly sales goals, negotiate contracts, and convert opportunities into sales.
  • Revenue: Oversee revenue production, manage billing processes, and ensure budget compliance.
  • Profit Margins: Develop project budgets, monitor costs, and maximize project profitability.
  • AR & Collections: Maintain DSO, review invoicing terms, and proactively manage accounts.
  • Manage Near Term Opportunities: Work directly with clients, engage in communication, and document interactions.
  • Business Development Activity: Schedule meetings, attend events, entertain clients, and pursue sales opportunities.
  • Estimating Proficiency: Estimate projects accurately, justify Xactimate line items, and ensure target margins.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Communicate consistently, set expectations, and monitor progress with clients.
  • Working and Coordinating with Internal Teams: Coordinate mitigation efforts, manage reconstruction processes, engage in business development, and work with project accountants.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 5+ years of sales experience in restoration or construction industry.
  • Construction estimating and large loss experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Xactimate.
  • Strong communication and project management skills.
  • OSHA, CPR, and First Aid certifications preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
